There’s no greater joy than seeing the smile on the face of a sick child when their dream comes true. It’s magic!

Dreamland

Providing Once-in-a-Lifetime Moments

Dreamland is a fantasy fun centre built to cater to children’s imagination. A place designed for children to visit and do what children do, have fun with their friends and family and take a break from the ordinary.

There is a fantasy castle, an airport including an airplane with a security clearance baggage handling area, and a simulated flight. There is a mini town complete with a supermarket, bookshop, fire station, police station, beauty salon, doll and teddy bear hospital as well as a building site, café and country cottage. Children get to roleplay and have adventures with their friends. There are costumes available for them to embrace the fun and action as well as a climbing frame and large slide to have fun on.

There are three themed party rooms for our guests to have refreshments and continue the fun. There is a Pirate-themed room, an Under-the-Sea room as well as a Prince and Princess room. We have  interactive areas where children can engage in artistic activities like colouring and making music as well as digitally interactive areas providing even more joy and wonder.

Dreamland caters for young children up to the age of twelve and is purposefully designed to be wheelchair accessible and as inclusive as possible. There is a wonderful sensory room which has proven to add something special for our very special friends and their families.

The Dreamland Play Centre in Limerick was opened by Shay Kinsella in 2016. This Centre is designed to provide a fun, supportive, and therapeutic environment for children with serious illnesses and disabilities. The centre has created a safe space where children can play, explore, and engage in various activities tailored to their needs. It focuses on improving the well-being and quality of life for these children by offering specialized equipment, therapeutic play, and a sense of community for both the children and their families. The centre also works to raise awareness and support for these children through charitable contributions and partnerships.

Currently, the staff and volunteers are undertaking some essential repairs and improvements at Dreamland and the Executive Team believes that the Dreamland Centre will again provide a space where children with serious illnesses and life-limiting conditions can come together and experience fun and play in a safe and secure space.

Please Note:  Following several very damaging and upsetting burglaries The Dreamland Centre is no longer open to the public. All transactions are digital and no cash or valuables are retained at the centre.
