To meet a celebrity

At a mere 10 months old Jade Whelan from Wexford was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Idiopathic Arthritis, a condition that’s normally associated with Adults. Jade, who is now 13 years old, has the most severe case of this condition in Ireland and has to struggle everyday enduring the aches and pains along with the side effects with which her condition and medication brings.
Jade was the first Irish person to undergo a major stem cell operation at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle in the hope that she will ease the pain and have a better quality of life and so far so good.
"The donor was a brilliant match for Jade" said Jade’s mother Sarah. "It is still a tough road ahead for Jade said Mum Sarah but we are very hopeful and pray and that's all we can do now is pray."
Shay Kinsella of Share a dream who makes dreams come true for very sick children promised Jade that when she came out of hospital he would do everything he could do to make her fondest dream come true to hang out with Cheryl Cole and so Jade got to meet her idol Cheryl Cole at the O2 Arena in Dublin.
"This has given Jade such a fantastic lift and of all her dreams this is the one that she really wanted and is so very special. Thank you so much Share a Dream for making this happen for Jade, you are wonderful for all you do for special children in Ireland", said mum Sarah.
